Slow and steady wins the race

Speed is relative. In fact, we have known that since Aesop. Many methods show that we can learn more from our surroundings if we just take our time.

When Sven Piechota talks about “decelerated” progress in Business Intelligence, however, he is being ironic. The finance professor at the University of Lüneburg and undisputed jack-of-all-trades in the BI scene doesn’t always share my optimism (as is to be expected). In fact, he describes the current market status as the flatlands with occasional peaks of success.
